Biography:

I was born in a log cabin that my father built.... Oh wait, wrong story, my dad's a retired U.S. Diplomat so we moved a fair bit.  I have two brothers and two sisters, as well as four nieces and one nephew.  As a kid I lived in Washington, D.C.; Paris, France; Brussells, Belgium; and Geneva, Switzerland.  But Vermont was always home to us.

So, after graduating from high school in 1984 (ecolint, La Chataigneraie) I attended Norwich University, in Northfield, Vermont.  I majored in Physics, with a minor in beer drinkin' and hell raisin', a subject I continue to explore.  Upon graduation from Norwich, I gained a commission in the U.S. Army, eventually being stationed at Fort Drum, NY, 10th MTN Div. (LI), as a rifle platoon leader.  After the army I returned to Vermont for a couple of years until 1994 when I moved to L.A. to attend law school at Southwestern University.  While at law school I did a study abroad program in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Then back to Vermont, where I've been practicing law for the last 5 years.  Not sure what all this says about me, but no need to get into a nurture vs. nature debate.

I've always enjoyed travel and now that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is ending this seems like the perfect time to go on a long trip.

Hobbies: Wouldn't say that I have any hobbies per se.  I enjoy history, a good philosophical debate, shooting pool and listening to live bands, the aforesaid BtVS and of course, Angel.
Favorite Bar: McKee's Pub, Winooski, VT.
Travel History: 16 countries, 3 continents
Motorcycles: First bike was a used 1982 Yamaha Virago, then I graduated to a 1994 Harley-Davidson FXR which I rode across the U.S.  The 2002 F650 Dakar was bought specifically for the trip.
